27 April 2026 – The Department of Science and Technology – Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) officially opened this year’s National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE), an annual platform that promotes and showcases Filipino innovations from across the country.
One of the highlights of the event was the Stakeholders’ Recognition for International Inventors, which honored individuals and organizations that brought pride to the Philippines through their global achievements. Among the awardees, Bauertek Farmaceutical Technologies stood out for earning multiple Gold Medals from international competitions held in Poland (2024), the United States (2025), and most recently, Romania (2026).
These accomplishments demonstrate the growing capability of Filipino innovators to compete and excel on the global stage, reinforcing the country’s position in the field of science and technology.
The recognition was formally presented by DOST Secretary Dr. Renato U. Solidum Jr., DOST-TAPI Director Atty. Marion Ivy D. Decena, and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines Director General Atty. Teodoro C. Pascua.
This recognition reflects the theme of NICE 2026: “Limitless: Innovation Beyond Boundaries,” celebrating the boundless potential of Filipino excellence.
