DOST 1 holds 2nd Quarter Management Committee Meeting

The Department of Science and Technology 1 (DOST 1) held a Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting presided by Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog, Officer-In-Charge, Office of the Regional Director together with the Assistant Regional Directors and Provincial Directors of DOST 1, center managers, process owners, and unit heads on April 24, 2023, at the DOST 1 Regional Officeโ€™s Multipurpose Hall, the City of San Fernando, La Union.

As part of the continuing leadership of OIC-RD Dr. Tabaog, she spearheaded the ManCom meeting by presenting the agendas to be discussed about the accomplishments of all units and offices during the 1st quarter of CY 2023 and to further discuss the plans for the 2nd quarter of CY 2023.

The Assistant Regional Directors and Provincial Directors of DOST 1, center managers, process owners, and unit heads presented their 1st Quarter targets and accomplishments of their respective units and offices. Also presented during the meeting are the challenges, issues, and concerns of different units and offices in achieving the 1st quarter targets together with the solutions and ways forward. OIC-RD Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog shared her insights on the possible solutions and ways forward to address the minimal concerns of the different units and offices in order to provide continued quality services to all stakeholders in Region 1.

OIC-RD Tabaog carefully listened and applauded the different units and offices for their achievements and accomplishments in this 1st quarter of CY 2023. She also listened and analyzed the different concerns and the ways forward presented, which led to the discussion and formulation of plans, activities, and possible interventions to provide continued quality science and technology services and to lead in the delivery of science, technology, and innovation in the region.

After the presentations and rigorous discussions on the data presented by ARDs, PDs, center managers, process owners, and unit heads, OIC-RD Dr. Tabaog expressed her insights, strategies, and long-term solutions for the improvement and continuation of quality services and in strengthening the presence of DOST 1 in the region.
