PBBM WELCOMES EXPANSION OF BAGONG PILIPINAS SERBISYO FAIR WITH 335K BENEFICIARIES

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has welcomed the further expansion of the “Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair” to Sta. Cruz, Laguna on Saturday where various government services such as medical, financial, labor, education and several others were offered.

Special Assistant to the President Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., who represented President Marcos during the event, said the “Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair” aims to provide reliable government services to the Filipino people.

Government services such as application for renewal of application and other requests for assistance were also provided during the serbisyo fair, which was participated by various national and local government offices.

House Speaker Martin Romualdez spearheaded the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair as he led the House of Representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Sunday in bringing the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair through legislative districts in Metro Manila and two cities in Laguna province.

Romualdez said this was also in response to the challenge of President Marcos for him to create a program that will give rice aid to the poor.

Dubbed as the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) Program, the project is being undertaken in collaboration with the bigger legislative chamber under Speaker Romualdez and the DSWD led by Secretary Rex Gatchalian.

Government services such as application for renewal of application and other requests for assistance were also provided during the Serbisyo Fair, which was participated by various national and local government offices.

Lagdameo led the Serbisyo fair while Romualdez launched the CARD program distribution event in Laguna province.

The CARD Program was launched in Metro Manila’s 33 legislative districts with each having 10,000 poor and vulnerable beneficiaries for a total of 330,000 recipients, the distribution of which will be divided into four payouts.

Alongside the launch in Metro Manila is the distribution in Biñan City (3,000 beneficiaries) and Sta. Rosa City (2,000 beneficiaries), for a total of 335,000 beneficiaries for the launch.

Lagdameo thanked the local officials who made the project possible through their cooperation as he called on to continue their support to all the initiatives of the national government.

He also reminded the officials to maintain an open heart in serving the Filipino people.

| PND
