MANILA โย The City Government of Navotas officially launched its annual NavoPasko ham distribution on Sunday, marking the beginning of a festive initiative aimed at spreading holiday cheer among local families. A total of 84,598 hams will be distributed to residents from December 15 to December 21.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco, accompanied by his children, led the kickoff event, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that every family feels the warmth of the holiday season.
โAng Pasko ay panahon ng pagbibigayan at pagmamahalan,โ Tiangco said.
โAng ating taunang NavoPasko ham distribution ay isang simpleng paraan ng pamahalaan para ipadama sa bawat Navoteรฑo na sila ay mahalaga at bahagi ng ating pamilya dito sa Navotas,โ he added.
The distribution process has been carefully organized to enhance efficiency and accessibility. Residents are encouraged to adhere to specific procedures based on their barangayโs NavoRehistro verification status.
Verified Barangays
For families in verified barangays, including Bagumbayan North, Bagumbayan South, and Navotas East, it is essential to ensure inclusion on the list of approved families verified by the Navorehistro Verification Team.
Those not yet verified should visit their barangay for assistance. Families must bring their QR codes during distribution, and any family member can claim the ham with the correct QR code.
For those without devices, barangay officials can assist in printing QR codes.
Non-Verified Barangays
Residents of non-verified barangays, such as Daanghari and NBBS Dagat-Dagatan, will receive claiming stubs delivered directly to their homes.
Families should bring these stubs to their barangayโs designated claiming area to receive their hams. Future distributions will transition to QR code systems, and families without codes are urged to register online or seek barangay assistance.
โWe encourage all Navoteรฑos to follow the procedures set for their barangays to ensure a smooth and organized distribution,โ Tiangco said.
โSama-sama po nating ipagdiwang ang diwa ng Pasko sa ating mahal na lungsod,โ he added.
Residents can stay updated on schedules and distribution details by following the Navoteno Ako-Public Information Office Facebook page and other official social media platforms of the City Government. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
