Teachers and micro-entrepreneurs in the towns of Balanga, Dinalupihan, and Morong in Bataan have gained more knowledge on financial management through the community day and financial wellness trainings conducted by BDO Network Bank.
BDO Network Bank (BDONB), the community bank of BDO, visited remote communities in Bataan to conduct financial trainings on proper budgeting, saving, investing, and loan management for business or personal needs.
“Financial literacy contributes to the community’s development, and this is why we continuously provide financial education in different areas,” explained Jesus Antonio S. Itchon, president of BDO Network Bank.
Itchon said the bank aims to reach and assist fellow Filipinos in becoming adept at handling money to have a better life.
As part of BDONB’s program, community day was held in distant towns to deliver products and services that can help micro-entrepreneurs, teachers, and beneficiaries of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) reach their dreams.
One example is the Kabuhayan Loan, a business loan designed by BDONB to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in need of additional funds for their business. Loans ranging from Php 30,000 to Php 500,000 can be availed without collateral.
For those interested in starting savings, BDO Network Bank offers an ATM Savings Account, where opening an account only requires 2 valid IDs, Php 100 initial deposit, and Php100 ATM Card fee.
