DOST Region 1 Earns Dayaw ti Agmanman SILNAG Award, Unveils NSTW 2025 Highlights

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, LA UNIONโ€” The Department of Science and Technology Region 1 (DOST Region 1) proudly marked another milestone as Regional Director Teresita A. Tabaog actively participated in the 3rd Quarter Regional Development Council-Region 1 (RDC-1) Meeting held on September 10, 2025, at the Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The regional convergence was presided by DepDev Region 1 Director Stephanie Christiansen and graced by Asec. Ana Carmela Remigio, Presidential Assistant Secretary for Northern Luzon; Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias Singson; San Fernando City Mayor Hermenegildo Gualberto; and key officials from regional line agencies, local government units, academe, and private organizations.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of DOST Region 1 as a recipient of the ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ฐ ๐ญ๐ข ๐€๐ ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐’๐ˆ๐‹๐๐€๐† ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐, honoring the agencyโ€™s commendable project implementation and its strong support for the gender-responsive Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES). This recognition reflects DOSTโ€™s consistent commitment to excellence, innovation, and inclusive development in the Ilocos Region.

Director Tabaog also took the stage to present the upcoming ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž, ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค (๐๐’๐“๐–) ๐‚๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐›๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, set on November 18โ€“21, 2025 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. She provided an exciting preview of the featured technologies and activities that will highlight DOSTโ€™s four (4) pillars of development on human well-being, wealth creation, wealth protection, and sustainability.

The motion was moved by Former DOST Region 1 Director Armando Q. Ganal and seconded by the Council.
