CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) recently assessed and evaluated public libraries in Isabela, and donated various books to support local learning.
Michael Reyno from the NLP explained that the visit aimed to enhance the services and programs offered by public libraries.
“This initiative involved providing valuable resources, such as books and reference materials, to benefit the public,” he said.
Reyno emphasized that the donated books would enrich the local libraries’ collections and offer essential learning resources, particularly for young learners and students in Isabela and throughout the country.
Maria Cristina R. Simon, supervisor of the city’s library, expressed her gratitude to the National Library of the Philippines for the generous donation.
She mentioned that the books would be added as reference materials for learners, college students, and researchers.
“On behalf of our hardworking and visionary City Mayor, Josemaries L. Diaz, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the National Library of the Philippines for their invaluable support in strengthening our public library services, fostering a culture of learning, and making knowledge more accessible to the Ilagueño community,” Simon said.
