Zumba Enthusiasts in Imus City Receive Warm Welcome from Senator Imee Marcos

Imus City, Cavite – A vibrant and energetic “Zumbarangay” event brought together Zumba enthusiasts from various barangays in Imus City, with 30 groups participating in the lively gathering. Held on December 22, 2024, at the Imus City Sports Complex, the event was a collaborative effort led by City Mayor Alex Advincula, Vice Mayor Homer Saquilayan, and the City Council. The occasion also included the presence of aspirant Board Member Ony Cantimbuhan, Vice Governor Shernan Jaro, and the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Senator Imee Marcos.

City Mayor Alex Advincula took the opportunity to commend Senator Marcos for her dedication and humility, stating, “Napakapalad natin at malimit tayong pinapasyalan ng ating Idol. He also encouraged participants to rally behind her reelection bid, emphasizing, “Pag-uwi niyo sa bahay, humihingi ako ng tulong na gawin uli nating Senador si Senator Imee Marcos. Dapat No. 1 or No. 2 ang ating panauhin.”

Senator Marcos, in her speech, celebrated the success of the event and shared updates on her recent legislative initiatives. She lauded the impressive turnout of 30 Zumba groups, expressing her joy in connecting with the community. Highlighting her efforts to support senior citizens, she shared, “Tuwang-tuwa akong makapiling ang mga participants. She also discussed the amendment of the Centenarians Act, adding, “Tapos napahaba na rin natin ang batas na ito.

The Senator concluded her address with heartfelt appreciation for Imus and its people, sharing her commitment to return and support the city whenever possible. She remarked, “Masaya ako at nakapunta ako. Her message of unity and hope resonated deeply with attendees, leaving them inspired and encouraged.
